Gods Unchained is a free-to-play, play-to earn PC game, and players must outsmart their opponents by building card decks that can combat a wide variety of tactics.
As the Senior UI Designer on this project, my role focused on enhancing the Style Guide, designing new UI layouts and screens for a game built on Unity Engine, creating marketing artwork and templates, and developing an innovative approach to presenting expansion lore and new deck information. I also worked on engaging users in the evolving story, ensuring an immersive experience that would have them coming back for each release.
I created icons for the combat log that had to read well and quickly let the user know what action had just occured. I worked with our UX designer to create, user test and iterate several dozen keywords, actions and effects that are currently live in game.
Working with the Story Writer, we came up with a way to make the community truly care and keep up with episodes of the story told several times through an Expansion set release, utilising Webflow and creating templates easy to use by both the Design and Marketing Teams.
Utilising Webflow and its CMS system, we made the launcher easily updatable and be able to adapt to new content uploaded via the web.
Working with the Engineers and UX Designer, we came up with a way to display played games and rewards via both the launcher and website that easily shows your current rewards and games won/lost which is used by players daily.
I created a modular design for the Website using Webflow to allow Marketing to update and create pages on the website for any and every piece of content they could possibly need.
